Who You Will Talk To

Solidoworks Garage Doors does not have its own repair crews. When you request an estimate or call, your details go to an independent provider in our network. That provider is the one who talks with you, visits your home, and does the work.

Each provider runs their own business. Prices, schedules, and methods can differ from one to the next.

What They May Ask You

Expect a few simple questions. They help the provider understand the job before anyone drives out.

• What is the door doing? Stuck, loud, crooked, or not moving at all?
• Did you hear a loud bang before it stopped?
• Is the door open or closed right now?
• How old is the door and the opener?
• What is your address, so they can confirm they serve your area?

Photos, if you can take them safely, may help too.

Questions Worth Asking a Provider

You are allowed to ask anything. Here are a few good ones:

• Can I get the quote in writing before work begins?
• Does the quote include parts and labor?
• Is this a repair, or would a replacement make more sense?
• If it is a spring, what type is it and why does it need replacing?
• Is track alignment part of the visit?
• What happens if you find another problem once you start?

Staying Safe While You Wait

Garage door springs hold a lot of tension. Do not try to lift a stuck door by force or touch the springs and cables. Keep children and pets away. If the door is partly open, leave it be.
